HempTape presents a ground-breaking development: innovative, staple fibre-reinforced semi-finished products with unidirectional fibre orientation, based on application-optimised hemp fibres and biopolymers. Our goal is clearly defined - we are creating a resource-efficient, low-CO2-emission material alternative to glass fibre-reinforced thermoplastics, especially for high-performance applications.
We have a targeted utilisation with advantageous properties such as high damping capacity and low density. The determination of optimal compound and bio-UD tape formulations is the focus of our work. The result impresses with up to 60 % of the primary energy requirement.
